Using IIS 10 to Create Your CSR<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. In the Windows<\/strong> start menu, type Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager<\/em><\/strong> and open it.<\/li>
  2. In Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager<\/strong>, in the Connections<\/strong> menu tree (left pane), locate and click the server name.\"IIS<\/li>
  3. On the server name Home<\/strong> page (center pane), in the IIS<\/strong> section, double-click Server Certificates<\/strong>.<\/li>
  4. On the Server Certificates<\/strong> page (center pane), in the Actions<\/strong> menu (right pane), click the Create Certificate Request\u2026<\/strong> link.\"IIS<\/li>
  5. In the Request Certificate<\/strong> wizard, on the Distinguished Name Properties<\/strong> page, provide the information specified below and then click Next<\/strong>:Common name:<\/strong>Type the fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) (e.g., www.example.com<\/em>).Organization:<\/strong>Type your company\u2019s legally registered name (e.g., YourCompany, Inc.<\/em>).Organizational unit:<\/strong>The name of your department within the organization. Frequently this entry will be listed as “IT”, “Web Security,”or is simply left blank.City\/locality:<\/strong>Type the city where your company is legally located.State\/province:<\/strong>Type the state\/province where your company is legally located.Country:<\/strong>In the drop-down list, select the country where your company is legally located.\"IIS<\/li>
  6. On the Cryptographic Service Provider Properties<\/strong> page, provide the information below and then click Next<\/strong>.Cryptographic<\/strong>In the drop-down list, select Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider<\/strong>,service provider:<\/strong>unless you have a specific cryptographic provider.Bit length:<\/strong>In the drop-down list select 2048<\/strong>, unless you have a specific reason for opting for larger bit length.\"IIS<\/li>
  7. On the File Name<\/strong> page, under Specify a file name for the certificate request<\/strong>, click the \u2026<\/strong> box to browse to a location where you want to save your CSR.Note:<\/strong> Remember the filename that you choose and the location to which you save your csr.txt file. If you just enter a filename without browsing to a location, your CSR will end up in C:\\Windows\\System32.\"IIS<\/li>
  8. When you are done, click Finish<\/strong>.<\/li>
  9. Use a text editor (such as Notepad) to open the file. Then, copy the text, including the —–BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–<\/strong> and —–END NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–<\/strong> tags, and paste it into the DigiCert order form.\"IISReady to order your SSL certificateBUY NOW<\/a>LEARN MORE<\/a><\/li>
  10. After you receive your SSL certificate from DigiCert, you can install it.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
